It really did snow in the pines. They had taken snow out of the forecast for Christmas, there was a chance of freezing rain late that day and maybe snow on Sunday. The snow that was in the area they said would only fall above the Tennessee line. The best we could hope for were some flurries. However, on our way back to Mother and Daddy's house from Grandmother's on Christmas Eve, I told Gary wouldn't it be wonderful if we woke up and it had snowed and snowed and snowed! We headed to bed around 2 after feeding Ruth and then Gary got up to get her when she decided to eat again at 4:30. At that time it had snowed but it wasn't snowing. Then about 8 when we got up it was snowing in big thick flakes. I got my wish for a white Christmas!
