On Tuesday, Rebecca had her doctor's appointment. She weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs and 8 oz (less than Britt weighed at 4 months) and she is 26 inches long. She is back on the growth chart in the 5th percentile. She is small across the board though, and since she is taking more than the recommended formula a day (taking 32 or 40 ozs) and two meals they just want me to watch to be sure that her intake doesn't decrease to much. I told them that I wasn't concerned since she is so active, and then she showed off her cruising skills.
This week she has begun attempting to stand up in the middle of the room, she doesn't have the balance to do it more than a microsecond when she actually manages to get all the way up before face planting. Her one bottom tooth is about half way in. Her gums on top are swollen and the doctor thought she might be feeling some up there as well, though they aren't coming in like the one one bottom. Today we had an errand day in town, and tonight Rebecca went trick or treating for the first time. She even was given candy, despite having no basket. I took one for the team, stuffed my pockets and I'm now chowing down.
Two Primitive Baptist met online and fell in love, and all these years later that love has only grown. Through job loss, moves around the country, having 7 children, including one who was stillborn, and the day to day challenges of homeschooling; we are still committed to each other and the Church.
