The Florida Fellowship Meeting
We really enjoyed hosting the Florida Fellowship Meeting again this year. Last time we had it Britt was 3 weeks old, and while I did enjoy it, with the sleep deprivation and the lack of normal pitching in for a Church meeting, it just felt weird. This year I did the weeks of deep cleaning here at the house leading up to it. We were part of the painting, mulching, and work at the Church. During the meeting we helped set tables, prepare meals, and shepard kids. It's alot of work to host such a big meeting. Just the logistics of lining up homes for as many preachers and families as we could manage was overwhelming.
Of course when the big weekend arrived everything went surprisingly smooth. I'm not going to lie and say that every sermon was the best I've ever heard, but there were many thought provoking and inspiring messages, and even some that I thought had to make my top ten ever sermons list. you can check out the messages on our Church website. Some of the ones I've gone back and listened to again were Bro. Joe Nettles on Studying and making the world a part of our daily life, Bro. David Montgomery on a Triumphant Christ, and Bro. Mike Montgomery on the mystery of the resurrection and how we will all be changed. The singing was simply heavenly as well. I'll leave you with a little clip, please disregard the absolutely horrendous singing of the one doing the recording, and just watch and listen to the kids. This is a snippet of life on the front pew in a weekend long meeting with 5 kids 5 and under.
