One of the best resturants in the whole world is right here in Decatur, Alabama. They have won countless awards for their BBQ for their BBQ sause and more importantly (in my mind) for their white sause. Everytime I come home I make a point to go by there. Where you say? Big Bob Gibson's, and today Benjamin carried me there for our lunch, as my birthday present. Now, Justin didn't believe me when i told him this today, but the best thing there is their stuffed potatoes. Now theses aren't any potatoes, but they are massive, enormous mutantly large potatoes. They are easily the size of two or three fist. But not only are they a glorious potatoe, but they are stuffed full with goodies: butter and sour cream and cheese and bacon bits and chives, and the most important part of all lots and lots of meat. I'm pretty sure that I got all of my daily requirements of everything but fruit from that one meal. You can choose between chicken, turkey, beef, and the best of all pulled pork. Then you top it with white sause, like half of a bottle of white sause, or the BBQ sause, or if you are really adventurous that day both. Yummo!!!
Baby Nate Ferrel, is doing much better. It was great to see him and the family at MacClenny this past weekend. While, they believe that he may have SMA, they won't have the genetic test results for another 2 weeks or so. He is eatting better now, and he seems to have more energy now. Continue to keep the family in your prayers.
Aunt Joanna father, Bro Fred has gone through his first round of chemo and her mother who had an infected cyst behind her ear, seems to be doing better as well.
Baby Kent Aday, the newest little cousin of several dear friends in the Jasper area, has had several surgeries to correct his heart condition, and all appears to have gone well. The one big problem is that every time they have tried to shut his chest his blood preasure has dropped drasticly. Obviously he cannot live permanently with an open chest, and as long as he is like this his parents can't hold or touch him, and he has to be heavily drugged so as not to damage anything or pull out any of the tubes and cords. They are working this week to shut his chest a little at a time, please be in prayer for this small boy and his family as this can be very dangerous, because the risk of infection is so high.
Bro Hazen White is doing well in rehab. Hopefully, in another week or so, he'll be able to come. His family is planning to let him go back home with a sitter day and night.
My Uncle Clint is between jobs right now, he will be starting first thing Monday morning at the new job. Please pray for him, that this job will be much better than the last.
Parker Allen, my friend who was in the bad car accident, will be having surgery this week or next. To help with the swelling in his brain, right after the accident; they removed his left skull plate and placed it in his abdomen. The swelling has gone down now, so that they can replace it.
On a brighter note, I promise a very entertaining blog from Memorial Day, just as soon as I finish editting all the film. :)

Well, we are back from the MacClenny Meeting and man was it a good one. Justin hitched a ride with us to MacClenny, and why the way home was filled with good conversation, the trip up there we were priviledged to catch on film the evolution of sleep. This is a phanamonia that I have now witnessed on several trips on Justin's part. It always progress through these three stages over and over and over again, before he decided to wake up. First while rest on his fist, he doses off, then his arm falls to the pillow, and before you know it, he is hovering inches above the pillow. The purpose of the pillow in all this? I am unsure. While we were in MacClenny we were blessed to hear several great sermons, you should have been there. However, I will try to hit some of the high points. Apparently on Thursday night Eld. Tim McCool was blessed to preach from Matthew 13:1-23 about the Parable of the Sower, in which the good seed is the word, and we aren't to be judging if who is and isn't a Child of God by this parable, but that it shows us the many ways in which the Children of God respond to the gospel. We weren't there for that sermon, but I can't wait to get the cd and here it. On Friday night, he picked right back up where he left off with the Parable of the Tares. One of the things he explained is that you must read each parable's symbols for what they are, that often we can make general rules such as the Kingdom of Heaven referring to the Church, but not always. The good seed in this parables are the Children of God, whereas the tares are the ungodly in this world. He emphasised that no one plants those children, but God, not the preacher, not the gospel, nothing, only Christ causes life and growth. He explained that this parable taught the disciples that in the end, God would judge and the wicked will be punished, but that disernment between the wheat and the tares is not our job, because, unknowingly we might pluck up some of the wheat by mistake. He told us that the angels one day when he returns will aide him in separating the wheat and the tares. And that we are always to be ready for that time. He went several place (II Thessalonians1:6-7, Mark 13:25-27, and Matthew 25:31-46) to show us how the Lord will judge and what will happen on that day, and how the things in Matthew 25 aren't what makes us children of God or non-elect, but that they are evidences that show who we are. He continued the idea, Saturday morning by giving us Seven Signs which show that we are in those last days (plural not singular). He named that we are living in perilous times for us, because of the men that we are surrounded by in the world. He talked about how the world will claim that their is peace and safety when there is none, and will be suprised when the end comes. That worship will change in that men will think themselves higher than God, and worship differently than the way he set forth in scripture. That there would be a change in thinking, that they will believe that Abraham, Issac, and Jacob lived, but they will be scoffers, doubting his return and disbelieving his judgement, more like agnostics. As in the time of Noah and Lot, men will follow engage in every one of the sinful imaginations of their heart. He said that we will run to and fro much like the book of Job describes Satan, that we are torn away from our families and church as we keep pace with the Devil. And that knowledge shall be increased, or at least an idea that people know more and more, but really less and less. He quoted a verse that Bro. Buddy has used a few times at Little Union telling us that the downfall of Sodom, of Isreal, and in today's case in this nation is in the fullness of bread, idleness of hands, and failing to give and remember the poor. However, we are not to be afriad, but to recognize that God is in control, and though things get worse, we should live better, because he will be back. It won't happen until sometime after the last Child of God is regenerated, but he will return.
Right after Bro. Tim finished Elder Jon Mizell was blessed to speak on some of those things that we should be doing to live better and better. He preached from Matthew 5 about how Jesus not only came to just fullfil the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law, and how He commands us to do the same. He talked about some of the things that is hard, not just for people to swallow, but is hard for the child of God who knows the Truth to swallow. It's hard for us to understand, that we are commanded to these things, let alone do them. He talked about how in this sue happy world, when someone sues us for our coat to give them our cloak, to give both cars when we are sued for a car, to give our savings and our checking account when we are sued for the checking. How we are to not only turn the cheek once, but over and over. How when a brother needs us to walk with him, we don't say, "You don't have a good reason," or "I don't have time" or "I don't want to" or "I'm too busy." We are to not only not badmouth someone who is badmouthing us and seeking to destroy us, but that we are to love them and pray for them. He asked us if we really understood how the Lord could tell us to do these things, and then he explained. Christ for our sins was humiliated, he was beaten not by turning the cheek once or twice, but beaten beyond recognition. He died without a stitch of clothing on, as the soliders beneath Him gambled away for a sovenier. He went the extra mile; He went a little further to pray before He was taken. And He loved us enough, that when we were still an enemy on the cross, as we sought to put Him to death, that He prayed for us on the Cross, that we would be forgiven, as He died for our sins, by our hands. He closed by reading Matthew 5:48, and telling us that we are to do these things, that He did, that we would more resemble our Father and Elder Brother. I tell you it was a moving sermon.
After Church we headed over to Bro. David and Sis. Sherri's house for a little picking and grinning and some visiting. After a slow start, and a few distractions, Issac and Bro. Tim got to work, on "Dueling Banjos". Then after apologizing for the songs poor theology, they played, "I Saw the Light." Finally in a last ditch effort (maybe for more money? haha), Bro. Tim brought his girls in Abby and Madison, and had them sing "Fox on the Run." It was so much fun to get to see the Mizell twins and Nathan. It's hard to believe that the twins were premies, and that a thing in the world could possibly be wrong with Nathan. They are all three such happy babies, and cute as can be, full of energy. If possible, Nathan is even cuter in person than in pictures! Boy is he a flirt, and so cute, I told Gary that if ours would be so cute and sweet, that I might not mind to have a boy, haha! Think there are any of those genes on the his side? Audrey was such a doll, she was wide awake and watching everything and laughing the whole time. James though after a little bluegrass dancing time with his daddy, opted for a nap. We had a great time.

See there's either something in the water (or Sis. Kelly says the tea) or maybe I've just caught a bug from Sis. Kelly, but in any event Gary and I are most definately pregnant!
I started having symptoms and telling Gary that I thought I was on Fri, May 2. I just knew I was on Wed, May 7. But we finally got a positive on a hpt on Mon, May 12. Gary wouldn't let me tell anyone though until after a blood test confirmed it on Thurs, May 15. So on Fri, I sent flowers, an obvious baby arrangement, to my mother. She and Daddy want to be called Gwena and Grumps (her name is Gwen). So I had them write this on the card. "Gwena, I hope you pick out a new name before I get here. Call your daughter." haha. We told all of my family over the phone and through emails on Friday, and I told a few friends down here. We told Gary's family Sat. night and announced it at Church yesterday.
We are so very excited. I want a girl with red-hair and blue eyes, and he wants a little boy to name Gary Britt Cunningham, III (yuck). Boy or girl, whatever color hair, I'm just so excited to be having a baby. We just hope she (or he) is healthy.
Gary has been pretty excited too, well, until we went into Babies-R-Us to look at prices of stuff. I thought he was honestly going to pass out. haha. He kept telling me, lets just get a $25 to $50 stroller. He wasn't understanding that there was NO SUCH THING. haha
Just be in prayer for us that the baby will be healthy, and that we can be responsible with our finances, and that we would have wisdom from the Lord to raise up this child in the right way.

**Warning this may be lengthy**
Church meetings I do believe are my favorite time in the whole world. Lots of folks, who may or may not know one another travel from near and far inorder to listen to some guy get up and talk who may or may not actually know them all that well. This might sound like any speaker at any convention or gathering, but not so, because we are all bound to one another in Christian love coming with the expectation not of good food and good fellowship (though those are a given), but that the Holy Spirit would desend on us, and give the preacher what we are all in need of hearing, and giving us the ears to hear and a heart to understand. Hopefully when it is all over, we won't just have some amazing stories and good laughs, but we will have something more precious than gold to get us through the time when we aren't together worshipping the Lord, and something that we can take home and implement in our daily lives, so that we might walk closer to God.
That said, this has been a great month. Our weekend meetings kicked off with the trip to Jasper, and Zion Rest Church. All of the amazing and hummorous events have been pretty much told by everyone else on here, but I want to tell you about a couple of sermons that we heard. That was the 4th weekend in April. Then the 2nd weekend in May we went over to Vero Beach for a meeting at Antioch Church, and deacon ordination. Then this past weekend (3rd) we travelled to Winter Garden for their annual meeting. Next weekend (4th), we plan to head up to MacClenny for their meeting. Finally the end of this month, the days before the 1st Sun in June (May 30-June 1), Gary and I will be in Alabama at Elgin's Crossroads to hear Elder Clifford Gowens for their annual meeting while some of our friends down here will be at Little Zion's meeting.
The really amazing thing to me about all these meetings so far (and even the sermon that Bro. Buddy preached yesterday), is that they have all been along the same topic. In my experience, it's not all that uncommon, though still pretty neat, for preachers in a meeting as they follow one another to have similar topics, and to build on one another. However, in my memory, I cannot say that I have had a particular sermon topic, seem to follow me around from meeting to meeting.
It all started with Eld. Ben Winslett at Zion Rest on Sat. Morning. He told us that God has a will, something He desires or determines to do, and then he told us about that will, and that it is perfect and soveriegn. That He wills to bless His people and that He wills for us to walk upright, and when we don't He wills to cast down nations and punish people. He continued on to prove to us that because God has a will, we do as well. He used Genesis 1:26, saying that if we are made in His likeness, then we have a will as well. He went on to explain that we have a will according to our nature, and that our nature is a sinful one, and thereby our will is not a perfect or holy will like the will of God. Bro. Ben closed with explaining that because we now have two natures, that we have two wills, one to follow after the things of God and the old one which wars against those things. He said that while God always does God's will, but we don't; however, we much let the mind or will of God rule in us, to strive to be like Christ who was obedient ot the perfect will of God and to follow Him more perfectly and be a true disciple.
Then Eld. Sam Bryant got up told us some about the things that God wills for us. He wants for us to have joy and peace, comfort and all we stand in need of, but that he requires us to live an upright life. He told us how the children of Isreal time and time again, allowed stubbornness and willfullness to get in the way of following God and as a result they didn't lose their heavenly home, but lost out on the joy of their salvation here, they lose out on the blessings we get while we live. He taught us that we can limit God, not by being able to constrain him, but by disbelief, disobeying, and throwing away the opportunities that God gives us for blessings.
Sat night, they took it a step further, from telling us about the will of God and how we should align our will as already born again Children of God, to the heart of the matter. Bro. Sam started with II Chornicles 16:9, and told us how God is looking for a person with an upright and perfect heart to follow Him, and how He will use that person to show Himself strong, and bring glory to His name. He told us that not only did our will need to be in alignment with God's but that the best way to be of service to our family, friends, church and country, is to have a heart like His that He might use us to accomplish his purposes. One example he used was that of Elisha, who left all willing to serve God by being a servant to His prophet Elijah.
This idea of accountablity to the Lord continued with Eld. Charles Kitchens at Antioch's Meeting. He preached on Fri. night about our responsiblity to the Grace of God. He told us how because God has done such great things for us, giving us grace when we deserved eternal damnation, that we have a responsiblity to serve him. When we do so, he will bless us more and more, but when we refuse to serve him, he will take away those timely blessings, using Isaiah 1:18-20. He told us that we have the responsiblity here, to serve the Lord, care for his Church and his people.
On Sat. morning, Bro. Charles preached on respect, saying that, respect starts by respecting God and you can see if you have respect by how you live not what you say. The beginning of that is to understand as Solomon did, that all in this world is vanity and that they only purpose and good we can have is to respect/fear God and keep His commandments. He also pointed out that this means that we respect those in immediate authority: parents, pastors, husbands, bosses, government, etc. After all, we are taught in many places that if we don't love those who we can see, then we lie when we say we love God; and if we can't obey simple laws laid down in Gods word to obey certain people in a position of authority then we don't have respect for His word or Him. He closed with saying the best way to show appreciation for all He has done for us, is to obey his word, and remember to praise him and thank him in our prayers, and to acknowledge Him (not merely luck) to others. It was good to sit in the deacon ordination service Sat. afternoon as well. I haven't seen one since my father was ordained when I was in high school, and as we are considering ordaining deacons it was a wonderful reminder. I just wish that church discipline issues had been addressed, because I believe as a people it is where we are failing to make a firm stand and I feel like if we don't keep up the vineyard/garden that he gives us to tend, then He will never send us an increase, because we don't respect Him enough to follow through, and like His word says, prune back that which is dead, leaving it to Him, to bring it to new and better growth.
Finally this weekend we got to hear a couple of good sermons this weekend from Elder Gary Hall at Winter Garden (use to be New Hope) Church. The one that particular stuck out to me was his sermon on Sat. afternoon. He started by telling us that there is a scriptural parallel to natural planning, planting, and harvest. He said that every year he grows a garden, and if he were to tell his brother that he wanted to have some okre, squash, some tomatoes, maybe some green beans and onions, that his brother would be happy to help. If when he got there though Bro. Gary had no seed, he would tell him lets go get the seed. Bro. Gary said, now what if I said that it cost too much to go and get that seed, I know where there's some cheap over here, they are cocka-burrows, and thorny bushes, and dandelions, and stuff such as that? He said that it would be crazy to thing you could get squash from cockaburrow seeds. In the same way, we need to do like Proverbs 4:23 says and guard our heart/mind. Those things that we think about and dwell on are the things that we will have affect our lives. When we continually doubt the Lord, and doubt his word in our thoughts, we will grow up to have a fearful attitude continually in dispair, but those who plant seeds of hope in their thoughts will be optomestic, trusting in the Lord. He talked about there are things to refuse to let our thoughts dwell upon, and whenever these things enter our mind we must strive to instead to remember what II Corinthians 10:2-5 says, that although we are made of flesh, we are not to follow after fleshy things, not to give the devil a stronghold in our heart, but to bring all of our thoughts into subjegation in Christ, asking ourselves, is this something that the Lord would be displeased for us to dwell on. He told us that if we would do these things that we would be more pleased with the spiritual crop that we reap than with the natural crop that we reap, and that those around us would be happier in our company as well.
Then Bro. Buddy who didn't hear that sermon, yesterday morning preached on the exact same topic in I Peter 1:13-16. Telling us that we are to keep our minds holy, separate from this world. That as one would gird up his loins we are to gather together our thoughts, and dwell on only what is good, and when we have trouble and when we have doubts and fears, we are to look to all those things in I Peter 1:1-12, at how God has saved us eternally, how that salvation is secure and how then he gave us knowledge of these things that we may have peace.
These sermons on guarding our mind and heart, on following the will of God have been great for me. I worry, too much, and have been guilty in the past of looking at Gary and saying that I can't control my thoughts. I simple will have to do better.

I've been scolded a little for not blogging other than prayer request since my parents came down (a whole month ago, yikes). So I'm trying to get caught up; I have fallen to peer preasure. You must needs understand; however, that all of the topics for which I need to blog require long and lengthy blogs, meaning it takes me much time to write them. As one of my history professors always said, "what is easy to read was hard to write. Good writing takes time and rewrites." Not that I devote the kind of effort to blogging that I use to spend on my simply marvelous and exciting papers, but you get the idea.I suppose I were to do this in chronological order, which would indeed be logical, I would tell you all about the Jasper Meeting, our trip to Busch Gardens, and then about the meeting this past weekend, and the WONDERFUL SECRET I have that Justin doesn't know about. However, that would make far too much sense, and besides I don't have time to write about all of that before dinner and Church tonight, so I hope for the moment, my dear readers, you will be content to hear about Busch Gardens.Gary and I have passes to Busch Gardens for the year. Mom and Dad got them for us for Christmas and they have been a great investment. Florida residents can go once, and come back all year. We've been three times so far and I would strongly encourage other Florida residents to go, because that really is the best deal. There is so much different stuff to do. Gary of course loves the roller coasters and I love to watch the animals. Then of course now that it's warm, there are water rides, and who can dislike those. Now that I've collected my money for advertising, here's some stuff from the last trip (in hopes that Borrowed Dad will once again leave us in laughter).
This time we walked through the bird area, where they were just lose and you could feed them. They were really interesting, but they won't come hang out with you unless you have food, and well food cost a fortune for this tiny, slightly larger than a themble sized cup. So we just watched. We had a good laugh watching the elephants too. You know they dance. There are speakers right near them, and they do this swaying, dancing thing constantly. Gary took a really poor video of it, but blogger wouldn't load it, so you are spared. Just take my word, she was dancing.
My favorite animals are the tigers. "War Eagle!!! Go Auburn!!!" Seriously though, I like to watch them, and the white Bengal tigers are my favorite. They are like cats, but huge and very graceful. (Borrowed Dad would probably here point out not at all like Gary.) They, unlike all the other big cats, love water. You really can't tell from this picture but this is a gi-normous turtle. (This is a word I stole from a 4 year old boy in London, in reference to the plane we were getting on to fly from London to Houston. You can only appreciate it when you say it in a British accent like a 4 year old.) This guy is probably big enough to ride on, except it would take all day to get anywhere, and just maybe he bites. I don't know that though. One of the things that is so neat to me about Busch Gardens that is very different from anywhere else I've ever seen, is their attention to the details of gardening and planting. On top of all the small stuff that they do. They also, always have all these different fantastic animals made almost completely of plants. Here are a couple of butterflies, but they also have a lion, a tiger, an eagle, and a few others too.
Of course other than the food and the rides, Gary's favorite stop is to see these hideous creatures. In my opinion, this is either one brave turtle, or one with a death wish. You can decide. So this gator, saw us and started swimming down the little channel toward us. You need to know that there is this not all that sturdy in my opinion fence that is about 3 foot tall between the gators and us. So that monsterous gator head, was really about that close to us. After he made his way down to us, some of his buddies, thought they would come check us out too. So when we had four gators a foot or two away, I decided it was time to go somewhere else.

Here is this week's update, I will try to make this a regular Tuesday thing. On the off chance however that I don't find out about someone till Wed or Thurs come back here scroll down and look for **Update** and the date.
Baby Kent Aday was born on April 18 prematurely. He has several physical problems. Last Friday at 2 weeks old they did open heart surgery to correct a ventricular septal defect; however, they found more problems. Kent has only one kidney. Two of his vertebrae are not completely closed, but the spinal cord is not injured or displaced. There are also some small problems with his ribs. He may have a hearing deficit in his left ear. The biggest problem they found in surgery was that Kent's pulmonary artery and pulmonary veins were crossing and exchanging blood. They focused on trying to do something about that, and left the septal defect alone. He had to be put on heart-lung bypass for a short time. Then, later this evening, he had to be taken back to surgery emergently to widen a shunt they had created, and was briefly on heart-lung bypass again. He was very swollen, too swollen to completely close his chest wall. Later still, he started going into respiratory distress from the new high pressure going into the pulmonary arteries. He was placed on ECMO, a machine that oxygenates and circulates blood when the baby cannot. Then he was rushed to the cardiac catheterization lab. Kent is also on continuous hemodialysis which is really more of a protective measure for his single kidney right now. His condition is critical but stable. The shunt they put in has clotted off, and he was taken back to surgery yesterday. The good news is that the swelling in and around his chest has gone down. The doctors don't expect Kent to live past the age of 2 or 3 even if all goes well with surgery, but we understand that the Lord can do anything. Continue to pray! His parents, Aimee and Ken, are doing well and appreciate and feel all your prayers.
Baby Nate Ferrel is continuing to improve with physical therapy. He is still retracting but with the therapy and the exercises he is able to breathe normally for a period of time after the sessions. They believe that Nathan's breathing issues were not just something anatomical but that they are probably secondary to a bigger problem within him. Hopefully the neurologist will have more information on Thursday, he will also be having another renal ultrasound to check the fluid on his kidneys, and seeing the Pulmonologist again. For more information check out Life with the Ferrells.
Bro. Hazen White is in rehab after having hip replacement surgery. He will be there for four weeks, hopefully if he is able to go back to using a walker, then he will be able to return home with a sitter during the day and family at night.
Parker Allen has gone home. He is more and more alert each and every day. He is ever so slowly gaining strength, and his parents and brother fell incredibly blessed to see the power of God at work in their own lives. For more information and incredibly encouraging updates go here. At the website you are able to sign a guestbook to let them know who all is keeping them in prayer and thus encouraging them, and you can register to have updates emailed to you as they post.
Sis. Kimberly Riffle will be having her baby on Monday if all goes well, so keep them in your prayers. I for one will be excited to find out if she will be having a girl or a boy. :)

Some how in the mountainous loads of laundry that I did on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I do mean mountainous, I failed to do the bluejeans and some of the socks and underwear. So after washing the latter this morning, I started putting them away. Alas however, I pulled the drawer out too far, and it fell to the ground spilling out the contents everywhere. But Brodie came to the rescue.
By rescue, I mean that he lept up from his post on the bed, and jumped into the dresser where the drawer previously was. First, he needed a proper heighth to survey the mess.
Then, he began to wash his paws while his momma cleaned up the mess.
Finally, he agreed to get out of his new hidey hole so that I could put the drawer back in.
For all of you that are still awaiting a post or dozen on the fabulous meeting we were blessed to attend this weekend. I assure you that I will have some serious sermon post soon and a few fun ones as well, just as soon as I can steal some of the photos that others took. (Yes, I know, I failed to carry along the camera.) Until then, go and amuse yourself with the Adventures of Bob, who we carried along to Alabama, an account of what happens when five girls are on the road with semis, the ever so insane trip home, and why never to give Red Bull to Justin Varnum.
