Britt and Lilli
Today, Lilli came over for a "play date" with Britt. Yesterday morning, Gary took Britt with him over to Memaw's house while he helped hang some blinds. Britt spent the time playing with Lilli. Then we went grocery shopping and had our weekly errand day. The entire time Britt wanted Lilli to ride too, and Lilli go to the grocery store too, and get Lilli a cookie too. You get the picture. Last night Gary had to run back over to Mom and Dad's to get the pressure washer, and again Britt rode with him.
Mom had the rest of the grandkids- Brystal, Lilli, and Julia - and they were all watching Dumbo. We don't have Dumbo and Britt was fascinated by it, so we let him stay, and Joan volunteered to bring him home afterward. When she (and Lilli) brought him they stayed to visit a little bit. But of course, sooner or later they had to go. When Britt realized that he wasn't going to be going with Lilli, he feel apart. He threw himself at the door, sobbing his little heart out and crying, "I want mine cousin. Bring Wi-Wee back! I want to ride with her. Wi-Wee mine cousin. I want mine cousin back." He kept insisting she was "mine cousin" the way he tells Ruth "No, that is mine cup." You know, as if he is the only one with a
claim to her. He was so pitiful that I calledMemaw and offered to keep Lilli for a while today, while they went to town. Britt and Lilli spent most of today together. They played here mostly outside part of the morning, ate lunch, and then all afternoon. After that they went down to the Church and played together some more. Even after all of that tonight at bedtime. He insisted to me, "I NEED to play with Lilli some more, Momma. I NEED her."
