Baby James Mizel is waiting to be evaluated for OT, PT, and S&L at TMH. They are currently paying out of pocket for the PT, because the insurance won't cover for the only PT-ist in their area.

My mother's surgery today went well. It took them a little longer than expected because her colon was wrapped around what was left of her uterus. Perhaps that explains her stomache troubles. She will be in the hospital until Wednesday at least.

My grandmother's heart surgery went well. When they got inside the doctor couldn't find a hole anywhere in her heart, so they aren't completely sure what causes her aterial flutter, but it is less severe than they previously thought. They were able to get rid of most of the extra nerve endings that weren't functioning properly. They had to leave a bunch behind, because there wouldn't have been enough left to do the work if they had take care of them all. There is a small chance that in the future they will have to go in and take care of the rest and put in a pacemaker, but for now things look good.
