The Joy of My Salvation

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. ~Habakkuk 3:18

February is national children's dental health month.  What are three ways to take care of your teeth.

1) Brush your teeth.
2) Floss your teeth.
3) Don't suck your thumb.
4) Eat healthy food.

That's it cause I don't know anything to say.  That's like the worst blog topic ever for me to make about.  Tooth Brusher that's my title name.  It sounds like a super hero.  It's the superhero that makes your teeth good.  Don't tell me you are typing that in.  Scout, why does she type EVERYTHING I say?  Maybe we should get you a tooth brush Scout.

Since President's Day was last week, tell me three things you think a President should be.

The first thing a President should be is loyal to his country and his people.  If he isn't loyal to his country, he might ask Congress to use our tax money for a statue of himself or for something else, instead of using it for the good of his people.  The second thing a President should be is honest.  He does this by not lying and admitting when he makes mistakes.  If he doesn't admit, people might think they should do that.  He should tell the truth even if the truth is something disturbing that the people don't want to hear.  The third thing a President should be kind to all people no matter what.  But sometimes Presidents have to make hard decisions, and not everyone likes them.  He might have to declare war.

I don't think it would be easy to be the President.  At one time I thought it might be kinda fun to rule, help people, and see everybody.  But it's really hard, and no girl has ever been a President before.  There are other businesses where you can help people.  Like a dog business, that helps people who are going to be gone awhile, especially when your dog doesn't do good in a hotel.  Or even if you were just running late for work, someone could walk your dog and feed it.  There are lots and lots of ways to help people, so I don't think I want to be President anymore.  Though it would be cool to be the first girl President.

President's Day was last week.  Tell me about two things the President does.

A President has two very important things he must do.  Actually he has lots of jobs, but I'm only mentioning two of them.  First, he should follow the law, and second, he should admit when he is wrong.  It is important for him to follow the law because if he breaks it, it sets an example and tells us that we can do whatever we want.  As one of the most powerful men in the country he could do great damage, like murder everyone who runs against him or vote more than one time for himself.  You should admit when you are wrong because it is the right thing to do, because everyone makes mistakes.  Because if he admits that he did bad, then they would know if he was a good president or not.

For Valentine's Day, write about someone you love.

I Love Ruth and here is why.
Ruth is my older sister and she plays with me and she loves me too.  She likes to play games with me.  We play games on Nintendo switch together.  One of the games that we play is Smash Brothers.  We play the dancing game and we play a dragon make believe game together.  She encourages me to work hard.  She is very kind and helpful.  I love Ruth  .

What's your favorite part of Valentine's Day?

My two very favorite things about Valentine's Day are family and chocolate.  I love being with my family, because it is fun.  It is an extra time to be extra loving.  It's fun to celebrate it, even if I don't know why we celebrate it.  And at Church we get to make food for our older members, like Momma and Daddy and our grandparents at Church.  I like to show people I love them by showing them, by things I do for them.  We are making peanut butter pies to carry too, with Grandmother's recipe that she gave Momma.  Now on to chocolate!  I like for Valentine's Day how people give people these heart things with all kinds of chocolate in them.  I've never got one, but I hope I get one this year.  I would buy one myself, but I'm saving up for Vacation in a few months.  You never know what kind of chocolate there is inside.  I like the kind that has salt on it with caramel drizzled over the top of it. I also like making Valentine's Day cards, but it's not my favorite part.

For Valentine's Day, write about someone you love.

I love Scout.  He is furry, cuddly, funny, and fun to play with.  I have a fun nickname for him, called Chewy or Scout-a-nator.  He could eat all day just like me, and loves to lick.  He likes to play pig ball like me.  That is a game I made up.  I throw his toy pig, and when he grabs it he tries to run to his goal.  I have to try to tackle him.  Sometimes he gets by and sometimes I get him.  Then we do it again.  He will also chill out and sit by me, chewing on his antler, while I watch tv.  It's relaxing.  He's not as wild as Neela, and that's a good thing, because Momma doesn't need a dog that wild.  Scout is very athletic and fun to run with.  He is also good to walk at night.

Write about a goal you have set for yourself.

I have set a goal to get lots and lots of moola.  That's money.  I want lots and lots of money to buy things for vacation.  That's a true story.  I'm going to get it by doing school early, and doing jobs.  And I will not lie or whine anymore, or I will lose my moola.  I have already done some jobs this week, I cleaned Momma's bathroom, washed dishes, and helped clean out the car. I swept out  the garage too.  After I get lots of moola, I'll be able to play with lots of cool new things that I bought with my moola, moola, moola.

What was the best part of this past year?

For a few years, we were thinking about getting another dog, and Britt wanted a brother.    So, we were looking for a boy dog.  We kept looking at Huskies and Australian Shepherds.   Momma decided on an Aussie.  We found a breeder with puppies for sale.  Britt decided on a black tri, but he was still deciding on a name.  The names he was down to were Scout and Bandit.  So, we went there and we got Scout.  He was just a little smaller when we got him, but way heavier than Neela.  When we held him he would nibble and lick our ears.  He had a white spot where his collar would be shaped like a bandana.  When we went to bed, Scout was noisy, very noisy.  He wasn't use to being by himself, he had 10 brothers and sisters.  So next morning, we got Scout out and after about an hour, Britt decided he should be Scout because he sniffed around and scouted out the place.

Scout is super cuddly and big and super, super fluffy.  He is silly and flops on his back when he wants you to scratch his belly.  When he meets a dog he says hello by jumping on their heads, then he runs and runs and runs with them and rolling over.  He loves to run after balls.  One time, he ran to the ball and ran back, but he forgot to grab it.  Sometimes he grabs the ball but forgets to bring it back.  Sometimes he grabs the ball and then drops it before he gets back.  He's not really good at fetching yet.  Getting Scout was the best part of last year.

What was the best part of this past year?

The best part of last year was Christmas because of multiple things.  One, I got to watch Ruth and Rebecca open the presents that I got for them.  It was so much fun giving out presents to Julia and Lilli too.  Next, I got a cool rock tumbler.  It is super cool.  We got to really smooth and clean rocks.  Also, we all got a cool new, Nintendo switch with some games.  Me, Ruth, and Rebecca love it, and Kate likes pretending to play.  Ruth also got me a cool new dragon, and Rebecca got me some new pokemon cards.  Finally, we got to do it all in our new house.
