My First Attempt at Real Cooking

Last night I tried cooking for real, for the first time in years. Growing up I was a crappy cook. There are loads of horror stories about terrible meals that the boys had to eat, because Mother was trying to teach me to cook. She is a perfectionist and very impatient and I'm easily frustrated as Daddy use to describe the scene. However I thought I would chronical the attempt last night, so for your amusement...

See I'm cooking here, there is a cookbook (Rachel Ray's 365: No Repeats, a Year of Deliciously Different Dinners). I also have three bowls of stuff and I'm rolling chicken in flour, egg, and bread crumbs.
Here they are cooking. Here's the first diasterous batch. Burnt all up.But I tried again. And now they look much, much better. I even made homemade, honey mustard sauce!Kat and Matthew looking a little nervous and anxious about dinner.
Ultimately they decided it was great. We were all happy and much relieved!

Congratulations! Looks good to me! And, they always say, practice makes perfect.

To quote a Music Teacher "Practice don't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect."
