Strawberry, Spinach, Almond Salad

Any good meal general starts with some sort of appitizer or soup or salad. So here is my first entry in the week long recipe sharing.

Dressing:
2 T. sesame seeds
1 T. poppy seeds
1 T. minced onion
1/4 c. distilld white vinegar
1/2 c. olive oil
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 teas. Worcestershire sause
1/4 teas. paprika

Mix all and chill. You will need to make up the homemade dressing before hand and it is great! The less time that you leave it to cool in the fridge the more paprika you will taste and the longer you leave it in the more sweet and tame it will be. I would suggest roughly an hour but not alot more.

Salad:
about 10 oz. of spinach: rinsed, dried, and torn
about 1 quart of strawberries: cleaned and sliced
1/4 c. of blanced, slivered almonds or of honey roasted almonds

Toss together and serve with dressing. I like to just buy a bag of spinach and dump it in a bowl, means even less work. The Walmart bags and Winn-Dixie bags are 9 oz. so I don't use quite 10 oz. Also depending on how much you like almonds you can add a little more.

Enjoy one incredibly healthy salad!
